At the moment, I’m plowing through book two, Eye of the Sword, making sure I communicated what I intended to. According to my marvelous editor’s insightful feedback, I fell short several times. Need to flesh out a few characters and make motivations clear. One balancing act in writing a sequel is deciding how much of Book One’s backstory the reader needs to know – and how and where to weave it in, so that you, dear reader, will not even notice! Tricky!
So…you know what I’ll be doing today: nose in the manuscript!
