Entering the final eleven-week countdown toward the June release of Breath of Angel! I hope you’ll join the anticipation by entering the drawing for an autographed ARC and a couple of gorgeous bookmarks my publisher has created for Breath of Angel. You have the whole month of April to enter and to encourage reader-friends to enter as well. I plan to make entering fun, interesting, and easy. Here’s the way it works:
In the Angelaeon Circle books, angels are in essence forms of pure light who often take on human forms in order to fulfill their earthly tasks. In Breath of Angel, angels have been trapped in the world within various human forms. But they still sense each other by the light they emanate. Each angel’s light is a different color depending on the temperament and personality of the angel.
Colors have different emotional effects on us or symbolize different characteristics. (I’ll blog more about that – and other Angelaeon details – in coming weeks.) For now: if you were an angel, what color of light would you be? To enter the drawing, comment on this blog with your chosen color plus a descriptive word that links the color to your personality. For example: “I’m mysterious purple.” Or “I’m energetic red.” Or “I’m a laid-back blue.” Turquoise? Taupe? Magenta? All the colors are fair game.
You may enter only once as a color, but if you tweet about the giveaway or announce it on Facebook or blog about it, let me know in a comment, and I’ll give you another entry (one each for Twitter, Facebook, and blog). That means you get up to four chances to enter. I’ll gather names through April and will do a random drawing of all entries on May 1.
So . . . what color angel are you?

Dear Karyn…. Please submit my name (well, really draw it!) for your new book “Breath of Angels” autographed by you.’
I first met you at a Pastor’s Children’s Conference probably about 15 years ago in Nashville, TN. I volunteer teaching 3 year olds in Sunday School. I also just retired end of 2010 from my church working in the office for 25 years! I have pretty much seen and lived almost everything there could be in a church! Mostly good and teensy bad! God is GOOD!
You have been my hero ever since I met you years ago and inspired me to do what I do today. We use your CD weekly with the “stop & go” and “no, no, no” songs as we pretend we drive around the room. I probably have all of your products and you’re still my hero!
Blessings on your new book! I’d be delighted to have a personally autographed one early…would make me feel special!
Thanks for doing what you do and your hubby, Ralph also and your boys!
Your sister in Christ, Jane
Karyn, I forgot to mention what color angel I would want to be!
I would like to be purple. I feel it is a majestic color. I also love lavender shades of purple. I also feel it is like scarlet to a degree. I just love anything purple. It is also magnificant, in lavender shades, gentle. I am just drawn to it and you would just have to ask God why!
Thanks for the opportunity to share your new book! : )
jane (((hugs)))
I’d be neon turquiose b/c I know I’d never be too normal of a color. Neon b/c I figure all angels sorta glow. For better or for worse, I also seem to be different from the norm.
If I were an angel, I think I would glow lime green, always happily in a hurry!
If I were an angel I think my color would be green. Green reminds me of spring and life. I am definately full of life.
Karyn, I do not know what color I would be, but I have to put in a plug for your work. To be honest, I had never heard of you or your work until my wife brought what my two-year old refers to as “Zoo” home from the library. Now, she has to check it out every other week (no extensions on DVDs). Though “Tiny Treasures” is their favorite, it is so wonderful to see God being glorified by my one and two year old girls…who know every word to the songs. Please know that the God of eternity has used you in ways that you may not always know…In Christ, Kevin
I guess I would be sparkly silver, to help inspire the awe of God to all who saw me.
Hi Karyn,
I’ve volunteered in Children’s Ministry for decades and I love your child appropriate teaching and Scripture based music. I’ve heard you speak more than once at CPC and God used you mightily.
If I were an angel, I would be an illuminated yellow because on my refrigerator hangs a picture of me drawn by my college aged son when he was four. (It’s faded and brown now but he drew me yellow originally). When I asked him why he drew me yellow, he said that God shines through me when I teach children. It is my prayer that the Lord Jesus always shines through me.
I’m indecisive indigo – fluctuate between restful blue & vivacious violet.
I have been a fan of yours since we began using your children’s curriculum in our church!! Fabulous stuff!
ANd yep, I’d like to be yellow!!!
Thanks for the chance!

I am an artist/ceramist so… I would be a creative cobalt. I enjoy working with children teaching them self worth through the arts.
Great contest idea! Very original!:)
So… I would be an idealistic blue. Yes, I’m a dreamer and blue makes me think of a nice, peaceful summer sky and daydreaming…:D
Thank you for the giveaway!
I believe I would be a light blue angel. I’m quite, but involved with children (Bible teacher for 40+ years), Moppetts co-ordinator (1st year), and Women’s Ministry co-ordinator. Some of the women tell me I’m the cheerleader(encourager). I love God and people. I try to look for the best in everyone.
